I've spent the past decade working with organizations at moments of growth, transition, and renewed ambition. Different sectors. Different missions. What they did have in common was this: they were all growing.

New priorities, bigger audiences, more visibility, and more demand on their teams. They didn't need a designer to simply make things look better. They needed someone who could bring clarity to complexity and help the organization grow into its next chapter. That's the work I've gravitated toward throughout my career.I've led national campaigns, evolved brands, built creative operations, introduced governance, and developed systems that help organizations produce stronger work more consistently. I enjoy moving between the strategic conversations that shape a brand and the practical work of making sure it shows up consistently across hundreds of everyday decisions.Working in lean, mission-driven organizations taught me to think beyond deliverables. When resources are limited, creative has to do more than communicate well. It has to build trust, help teams work better together, and make every investment go further. That's shaped how I approach every role I've taken on.Today, that's the kind of work I continue to look for: joining organizations at moments of growth and helping them build brands—and creative teams—that are ready for what's next.

Built on Trust
Trust is how good ideas become great work. That’s why I invest in building relationships with cross-functional partners to turn alignment into break-through ideas that generate momentum when it matters most.
A true creative, with a remarkable range of skills, making him an all-in-one-talent.
He is very organized, diligent, and perhaps most impressive, Jack has a strong understanding of every stage in the production of multimedia content and communications.

Innocence Project
Rebranding an organization's biggest fundraiser, raising $2M

Led the repositioning, renaming, and rebranding of the Innocence Project's annual gala into Free At Last to strengthen donor engagement through a more unified and emotionally resonant experience. I secured leadership support for the new direction, brought creative decision-making in-house to better oversee quality control, and personally executed every major asset, helping raise more than $2 million in one night while setting a higher standard for the organization's flagship fundraising event. The rebrand lead to wide recognization by leadership, staff, donors, and board members as one of the organization's best galas to date.

Innocence Project
Scaling creative operations for a fast-growing brand

As creative demand grew to nearly 400 projects a year, I overhauled the Innocence Project's intake process to help the team scale. Working across departments, I replaced fragmented requests scattered across Slack, email, and direct messages with a centralized workflow that standardized briefs via a new automated form, improved visibility through status automations, and gave stakeholders a clear path from request to delivery. The new system reduced back-and-forth, improved the quality of incoming requests, and made work easier to prioritize and manage growing requests as the organization grew. More than a process improvement, it established a stronger operational foundation for a growing in-house creative function, earning feedback from staff such as, "The process is pretty seamless and well explained" and "This is a lot easier for both parties."

2020
Was recruited to join a new, growing start-up initiative working on expanding access to public defense across the U.S. to oversee creative across its high-velocity national and local campaigns (a new campaign every two weeks in a new jurisdiction). I worked with public defender offices from jurisdictions across the country to implement new creative strategies to shift the narrative of what “justice” should look like and move people and leaders to change the justice system for the better.

Vera Institute of Justice
2018 – 2020
Started at Vera as part of a rapidly growing digital team, shaping digital strategy, developing short-form content, and standardizing digital design on Vera’s digital accounts and for the MacArthur Foundation’s Safety and Justice Challenge, a funding challenge for local government agencies.
Was promoted to a new creative role for a multi-million dollar capital campaign to expand Vera's prison reform program to new jurisdictions. I partnered closely with officials from municipal, county, and state government agencies across several states, as well as in-house researchers and practitioners, to produce multimedia content, immersive campaigns, marketing collateral, pitch presentations, and more around their reform efforts, and contracted a design studio to develop a distinctive brand targeted to major funders and potential government partners. Within a year of joining the campaign, the initiative received $10M+ in new funding and grew its portfolio of jurisdictions by 50%.
